Angkor Wat, Siem reap. Cambodia. September 2012.

I just came back from a backpack-suitcase 4 day trip from Vietnam and Cambodia. Tired but HAPPY! I was with two other girlfriends and was honestly quite worried that we were going to these countries, just us girls. I had reason to worry but we survived it!

Getting used to eating home cooked meals and starting to dislike fastfood. Such a dilemma for me because I don’t cook.

God help me!

This Pork Curry was mouth-watering!

Buddy's Branch : Makati

With all the afternoon and evening rain, it's so tempting to just lay in your bed and continue your DVD marathon without noticing that it's past dinner. So one night, Buddy's delivery was the best solution. Tocilog and pancit, this is it!

Found a new pad thai sauce during a Thailand Festival in Glorietta last month. It wasn't bad, but I liked the old sauce better. This sauce was not so saucy.

Hope I could do the cooking next time in our new kitchen!

DISNEY LIVE IN MANILA! (September 2012)

I really wish I could see this with Danica on September! It'll be my first Disney show. Makes me realize i've never been to any Disneyland before. Have to put that in my bucket list!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

DISNEY LIVE! MICKEY’S ROCKIN’ ROAD SHOW STARS MICKEY MOUSE AND FRIENDS IN HILARIOUS, HIGH-ENERGY ADVENTURE

Disney Live! Mickey’s Rockin’ Road Show, Feld Entertainment’s all-new live stage production starring Mickey Mouse in a fun-filled road trip and talent search adventure, performs at Smart Araneta Coliseum from September 15 to 15, 2012! Spotlighting favorite Disney characters such as the ever-lovable Tigger; Cinderella and her comical stepsisters; and Buzz Lightyear, Woody and friends from Disney/Pixar’s Toy Story; Disney Live! Mickey’s Rockin’ Road Show unfolds through an original, laugh-out-loud storyline that whisks audiences away on a wacky journey.

Produced by Kenneth Feld and Alana Feld, the show revolves around a one-of-a-kind, unpredictable road trip as Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Goofy and Donald spontaneously attempt to round up amazing acts for their talent show. Thanks to Mickey’s fantastical bus, they are able to soar over mountains and plunge underwater to complete their search for performers. Through the incorporation of a giant video screen and multiple scenic projection panels, audiences are able to enjoy a truly visual experience as the scenic backdrop takes them through country hillsides, a cactus-filled desert, a royal village and other picturesque locales.

“What really sets Disney Live! Mickey’s Rockin’ Road Show apart is that it incorporates classic Disney characters into a set of silly ‘cartoon rules’ where anything can happen and fun knows no boundaries,” says Producer Kenneth Feld. “Families get to create lasting memories as they embark on a thrilling, high-energy, theatrical excursion with their favorite Disney friends, right in their hometown.”

Disney Live! Mickey’s Rockin’ Road Show spotlights beloved characters performing a variety of talents as they sing and dance to a mix of hip Disney tunes. Audiences can join Cinderella as she performs “Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo”; hoot and holler at a hoedown with Woody, Jessie and Buzz Lightyear; and bounce along with Tigger to “The Whoop-De-Dooper Bounce.”

“As Mickey and his pals team up to put on their show,” says Producer Alana Feld, “the audience will experience all the excitement, humor, hijinks and spontaneity inherent in both road trips and talent shows. They will be reminded of the fun that ensues when friends work together.”

Spreading Love!

This idea is inspired by Color Me Katie. I just love her! She's so colorful and she seems so happy. I want to be like her. At the very least, I want to inspire people to spread happiness and love, doing what I love to do. I'm still working on that though, as I currently don't have time yet. I'm hoping I can do that soon.

Last Holy Week (April 2012), I bought heart stickers and decided to stick them on random places hoping to give unexpected smiles from people who will find them, esp. those who are having a bad day. In this busy life, we tend to forget how to stop and savor the moment. Seeing random hearts will help them appreciate little things, I hope.

I started at work. People are always grouchy at the office because we always have so much to do, so I put heart stickers on my friends' stuff when they are feisty. One friend sent me an SMS when she found the heart, telling me she found it while she was upset about something, and she got totally confused about her mood when she saw it. Haha! It was awesome to hear that. And I'm happy that she knew it was from me.

I know I won't be able to hear how my little hearts will affect random people, but I sure hope it makes them smile a little. If you see my tiny hearts, tell me about it will you? It will make my day!

Sharing some photos. I've left hearts in light posts, cabs, light switches, toilets, stores, elevators, etc. I'm running out of stickers so I'm buying more. I'm planning to do it while I'm traveling, so I'd have my hearts all over the world. That will be awesome!

El Nido Fail. (February 2012)

Of all the places I’ve been in the archipelago, Palawan is the place I will always come back to. Last February, we were supposed to fly to El Nido for a leadership planning at work. The committee made sure that everything was set, up to the last detail.

My Gratitude Project Expands! (July 2012)

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

7.18.12 - Today, one of my gratitude projects at work materialized. My idealistic attempt to create a culture of gratitude, where people can show how grateful they are for even the smallest things, had a chance to be tested today. My boss assigned me and a partner to lead a recognition team, where we had to think of new ways to recognize our teammates. So, we created a platform where they can thank their peers and leaders for whatever reasons by sending gratitude notes. I know they needed a little push to accept the idea. And sometimes, that’s all we really need. So they did, and I know it changed the way they looked at things. I can feel we made a difference. A positive change, no matter how little.

Chitchat at Village Tavern (Fort. June 2012)

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Met up with my bestfriend and her sister for updates on our planned trips that we’re really hoping to go to! *fingers crossed*

Village Tavern looks like an elegant bar/lounge type restaurant located at the 2nd level of Bonifacio High Street Central. I have no clear photos of the food because I came late and it was quite dark outside. The food was nice. The area outside could use a mist fan though, I was perspiring despite the rain and there were mosquitoes that were threatening to eat me alive. Haha.

Will go back to get more decent photos.

Exhibit Worthy!

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Location : Lantaka, Zamboanga.
Camera : Canon D10
Date : June 2011

I just found out out that this photo I took last year will be part of a real exhibit (idN Club Phils Annual Exhibitors 2012 Graphic Expo). It may not be a huge deal, but hey, i'm still psyched! I dunno the details and I really don't care. I'm just happy that some pro photographers think this photo is worthy even if it's my least favorite of the 3 that I submitted. Just shows that beauty is really relative. So thank you!

IdN is a photography group that I joined in 2008 and I was able to only participate in only one of their activities, a photoshoot in Binondo. Can you believe it's been 4 years since then? I remember them to be so nice, even invited us to one of the member's houses (Sir TJ's) and fed us yummy mongolian food! I wish there were more photowalks to join. And me to have more time to participate. :)

This is my happy pill for today. I dream one day that I will have my own exhibit showing all my work. That will be awesome!

Gratitude Project. (January 2012)

Last night I commuted on my way home while listening to The Secret. I've been feeling low lately and I realized I could change how I feel by having only good thoughts. So on my 1 hour long commute to my apartment, I thought of all the little things I'm thankful for and tweeted all of them with a hashtag #ezraisthankful. I was surprised at how many things I'm actually thankful for. God is good to me. :)
